Holly Black's breathtaking Curseworker's series now has a totally new look.
Check out the new covers!
Are you new to The Curseworkers series? Here's a quick run-down:
Cassel comes from a family of curse workers—people who have the power to change your emotions, your memories, your luck, all by the slightest touch of their hands. Since curse work is illegal, they're all criminals. But not Cassel. He hasn't got the magic touch, so he's an outsider—the straight kid in a crooked family—as long as you ignore one small detail: He killed his best friend, Lila. Now he is sleepwalking, propelled into the night by terrifying dreams about a white cat. He also notices that his brothers are keeping secrets from him. As Cassel begins to suspect he's part of one huge con game, he must unravel his past and his memories. To find out the truth, Cassel will have to outcon the conmen.
Black Heart, the final book hits stores in April 2012.

These covers are amazing! Do you know if they're for the paperbacks? Or will they be reprinted in hardcover with these covers?
ReplyDeleteThe new concept for the book covers is so unique and fresh! They will definitely stand out on the shelves. While I did like the original covers,I can't help but admire these ones greatly too. :)
ReplyDeleteUm....NO. These covers are horrendous and tell absolutely nothing about the books. What was wrong with the original cover designs? They were intriguing and amazing, and you know, actually tied into the plot. If I saw these covers in a store I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. Boring and blah and slightly creepy as well, but not in a good way. Why oh why do you publishers always feel the need to come up with new cover designs halfway through a series when there was nothing wrong with the original designs? It makes me sick.
